Tyler Berzin is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director of Advanced Endoscopy at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he has led the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship for over a decade. A full-time clinician and interventional endoscopist, his research on AI for polyp detection began as a collaboration with MIT colleagues in 2014 and led to some of the earliest randomized controlled trials in the field, building the evidence base for regulatory clearance and clinical adoption. He teaches at Harvard Medical School and in the Harvard-MIT Program in Health Sciences and Technology, and writes and speaks widely on AI in clinical medicine.
